 ognition exercise class that helps you start the day with a strong voice a
 nd a clear mind. Each session includes breath\, voice\, and speech exercis

 enges that change every week. \nThe goal of this program is to extend simp
 le voice exercises to activities that help participants practice using tha
 t voice in challenging situations in order to replicate the types of daily

 nBIO:\nJohn Dean is a speech language pathologist who has been specializin
 g in Parkinson’s and related disorders for the past 16 years\, helping 
 individuals improve their communication and cognition in addition to addr
 essing swallowing issues. \nSince 2011\, John has been collaborating with 
 physiotherapist Josefa Domingos on dual task exercises that combine movem
 ent\, voice\, and cognition. In addition to his clinical work\, he has be
 en active in providing educational and exercise programs internationally\,
  developing technologies for Parkinson’s\, and collaborating with natio

  Studio Two \nPedaling a bicycle may change the life of someone with Parki
 nson’s disease. Research conducted at the Cleveland Clinic showed a 35% 
 reduction in symptoms by the simple act of pedaling a bicycle at a rapid p
 ace – optimally\, 80-90 revolutions per minute. Fast pedaling is not a c
 ure of Parkinson’s disease but it is changing the lives of increasing nu
 mbers of participants who\, before\, had no hope beyond medication and eve
 ntually surgery to slow the progression of their disease. \nInformation Li

DESCRIPTION:Class Description: Zumba Gold for Parkinson’s is an exercise
  class that uses music and dance-based movements to reinforce a range of P
 D-specific movements that emphasize both amplitude and speed\, set to an e
 clectic mix of beats ranging from salsa and country to tango\, cumbia\, ro
 ck\, mambo\, flamenco\, and beyond. The session will last 45 minutes with 
 slower music for breaks to allow for water and physical recovery. Particip
 ating in this class with family and friends is highly encouraged as it is

 s physiotherapist specialist and Zumba instructor to ensure training speci

 ss and meditation 9 years ago when her husband\, Ralph\, was diagnosed wit
 h Parkinson’s. She has completed the Mindful Self Compassion program and
  numerous other classes. She continues to partake in classes that teach ho
 w to deal with stress and anxiety\, calm your inner critic\, self compassi
