 ith Engelbert Humperdinck's enchanting Hänsel und Gretel. Based on the cl
 assic Brothers Grimm tale\, this opera has become one of the most beloved 
 fairy-tale operas ever created\, resonating with audiences of all ages. \n
 \n \n\nA protégé of Richard Wagner\, Humperdinck brings to the score a r
 ich musical sophistication shaped by his mentor's influence\, whil retaini
 ng a warmth and lyric charm all his own. Beneath its magical surface\, the
  opera acknowledges the darker textures of the Grimm tradition\, yet prese
 nts them with elegance\, wit\, and heart.  \n\n \n\nLibretto by Adelheid W
 ette. Conducted by Michael Borowitz. The opera will be sung in German with
  English supertitles.
