DESCRIPTION:Be among the first to experience Bocking\, a wildly irreveren
t new comedy making its world premiere at Baltimore Center Stage. This sc
andalous satire begins when two children innocently repeat what they overh
eard at home\, landing their very embarrassed parents in the principal’s
office. What follows is a chaotic and hilarious unraveling involving a pr
 eacher\, a so-called gay exorcism\, and a mysterious chicken named Danalan
a Parmesana.\n\nAs the parents scramble to contain the damage\, long-burie
d secrets\, personal quirks\, and social taboos rise to the surface. Blend
ing sharp humor with outrageous theatricality\, Bocking explores the col
lision between public respectability and private desire\, all wrapped in a
fast-paced romp that refuses to behave. It is bold\, absurd\, and unapolo
getically cheeky.\n\nWARNING: This play contains EXPLICIT content and is v
ery risqué. It’s also laugh-out-loud funny\, deeply real\, and confront
s feelings of guilt and shame surrounding sex.\n\nTICKETS

DESCRIPTION:In Sarah Ruhl’s imaginative retelling of the classic myth\,
the story is finally told through the eyes of its heroine. Dying unexpecte
dly on her wedding day\, Eurydice descends into an Underworld more theatri
cal playground than hellscape. Stripped of her memories and language\, and
policed by a Chorus of Stones\, she reunites with her deceased Father\, w
ho tenderly helps her reconstruct her past. But when her husband\, Orpheus
\, plays music beautiful enough to open the gates of hell to rescue her\,
Eurydice faces a devastating choice: follow the man she married back to a
world she doesn’t quite understand\, or remain in the safe\, familiar em
brace of her father in the land of the dead.\n\nLeaning into the influence
 s of Samuel Beckett\, Songs of the Goat presents a visceral\, ensemble-dri

about grief\, love\, and the enduring power of memory.\n\nTICKETS\n\nAges

DESCRIPTION:As in her Tony Award-winning Metamorphoses\, Mary Zimmerman tr
ansforms Greek mythology – here the story of Jason and the Argonauts –
into a mesmerizing piece of theatre. Encountering an array of daunting ch
allenges in their “first voyage of the world\,” Jason and his crew ill
ustrate the essence of all such journeys to follow – their unpredictabil
ity\, their inspiring and overwhelming breadth of emotion\, and their less
ons in the inevitability of failure and loss. Bursts of humor and fantasti
cal creatures enrich a story whose characters reveal remarkable complexity
. Medea is profoundly sympathetic even as the seeds are sown for the monst
rous life ahead of her\, and the brute strength of Hercules leaves him no
less vulnerable to the vicissitudes of love. Zimmerman brings to Argonauti

DESCRIPTION:Based on the film that starred Jack Lemmon\, Tony Curtis\, and
Marilyn Monroe\, this Broadway hit gives a classic story new life with mu
sic and lyrics from the creators of Hairspray\, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wi
ttman. The super-smart book and lyrics by Tony Award-winning playwright M
atthew Lopez (Inheritance) and Late Night star Amber Ruffin update the vib
e to suit 21st-century audiences\, telling the hilarious story of two 1930
s jazz musicians who go on the run from the mob disguised as women as part
of an all-female band headed to California. Just like in the movie\, Joe
and Jerry become Josephine and Daphne\, become “friendly” with the ban
d's star singer Sugar Kane\, and find themselves transformed by the exper
ience – and in ways a 1950s film could never make explicit. This tap-hea
 vy\, dance-intensive\, Prohibition-era spectacle retains a comic heart of
pure gold as co-author Lopez reminds us\, “we don’t think men in dres
ses are funny\, but we think idiots in trouble are always funny.” Enhanc
