 a Cadet Advisory Council (CAC) worked to develop an event that was not tra
 ining focused but one that aimed to have cadet and seniors come together t
 o socialize and have fun. The initial concept was voted on and approved by
  the cadet council and then sent to the Wing Commander where it was also a
 pproved.  The cadets involved in its creation continued to develop the pro
 gram.  In 2011\, CAWG held its first UBWC at Vandenberg AFB\, before movin
 g the activity to Sierra Christian Camp in Posey\, CA where it has continu
 ed to call home every since.  Through development and the years of executi
 on the mission and priorities of the activity have not changed.\n\n \n\nPr
 iority #1: For Cadets and Senior members from local squadrons to come toge
 ther at a Wing level activity to socialize and have fun.  To renew relatio
 nships built at other activities and create new relationships that will la
 st for a lifetime.\n\nPriority #2: The competition.\n\n \n\n \n\n\nREGISTR

 hat California Wing will host a Drill and Ceremonies School on the weekend
  of October 2-4\, 2026 at Camp San Luis Obispo.\n\n																		In th
 e cadet program\, drill and ceremonies are used as one of the primary lead
 ership laboratories.  Participating in drill and ceremonies provides many 
 benefits to the follower.  As stated in our drill and ceremonies manual:  
 "On the drill field\, the individual learns to participate as a member of 
 a team and to appreciate the need for discipline.  That is\, to respond to
  authority\, to follow orders promptly and precisely\, and to recognize th
 e effects of their actions on the group as a whole.  Learning to follow is
  the beginning of leadership."  CAPP 60-33\, para. 1.2.1.1.  And for the l
 eader\, drill provides immense learning opportunities: leaders learn how t
 o speak in front of a group\, how to teach\, how to give feedback\, and ho
 w to take responsibility for subordinates.\n\n																		California
  Wing's Drill and Ceremonies School curriculum is a fantastic opportunity 
 for those cadets who have already been introduced to the world of drill an
 d ceremonies at encampment to build on those skills and to prepare themsel
 ves to be leaders at NCOS\, SNCOS\, at their home squadron\, or at next ye
 ar's encampment.\n\n																		We are now accepting applications fo
