DESCRIPTION:The role of money in elections raises difficult questions abou
 t influence\, access\, fairness\, free expression\, and public trust. With
campaign spending continuing to shape how candidates communicate and comp
ete\, finding solutions that are both effective and broadly acceptable rem
ains a significant challenge. \n\n\n\nJoin Matt Howerton for a discussion
of a proposed approach to addressing money in elections—examined through
the principles of Rotary’s Four-Way Test. \n\n\n\nThe presentation will
consider whether a potential reform is truthful\, fair to all concerned\,
capable of building goodwill\, and beneficial to the broader public. Matt
will explore the competing values involved in campaign finance and offer
a framework for evaluating reform without relying solely on partisan persp
ectives. \n\n\n\nThis timely program invites members to consider how Rotar
y’s ethical principles can help inform one of the most complex issues fa
cing American democracy. \n\n\n\nGuests are welcome to attend. \n\n\n\n\n\

DESCRIPTION:The Williamson County Executive Committee meets monthly to con
duct its business and develop initiatives to Keep Wilco Red.  \nOur Augus
t meeting will feature a presentation from Krista Schild\, Texas Director
for RAIR FOUNDATION. About Krista and the work of RAIR: \nRAIR Foundation
USA (Rise • Align • Ignite • Reclaim) is a grassroots activist and
investigative journalism organization made up of everyday Americans leadin
g a movement to reclaim our Republic from the network of individuals and o
rganizations waging war on our nation — on our Constitution\, our border
s\, and our Judeo-Christian values. \nRAIR is an integrated media platform
amplifying the voices of the silent majority\, while informing the citize
nry of the daily assaults on freedom and fostering grassroots leaders and
activists in order to combat the threats from Islamic supremacists\, radic
al leftists and their allies. \nUsing RAIR’s “Four Pillar” strategy
 of Education\, Community\, Action and Coalition\; RAIR’s grassroots-base
d approach empowers citizens to neutralize these attacks on their communit
ies. \nRAIR’s bottom-up approach to neutralizing the attacks on our libe
rties has the potential to shift the power back to the citizens. RAIR will
document the activities of key subversive players that currently enjoy li
ttle scrutiny in the current media landscape\, exposing their activities a
nd creating strategies to counter them. RAIR will unleash unprecedented ci
tizen activism and cultivate community leaders\, filling a gaping void in
the movement for liberty. \nKrista has represented both Denton County and
Hunt County at the Republican State Convention as a delegate. She also ser
ved as a Board member for Frisco Conservatives\, now Texas Conservatives\,
which provides both prayer and boots on the ground support for legislativ
e priorities at the Texas Capitol. Krista was also a candidate for Texas S
tate Representative for HD2\, in the special election in 2023.  \nKrista
has served in numerous roles to inform the truth about our liberties throu
gh Education on America’s Founding Principles and exposing the threats o
f Sharia and Marxist Organizations. She also speaks on how to build teams
at the local level to identify and target them. \nShe carries her life bas
ed on Judeo-Christian values and her God-given mandate to stand for the Co
nstitution and be a voice for the People. She has served as a Staff Pastor
\, as well as a Prayer Leader and Government Intercessory Alliance member.
She and her husband\, Jeff\, have been married for over 35 years\, and
have built successful construction contracting businesses. They are proud
parents of 3 grown sons\, all apprentice electricians.
