 “Woody” Back’s upbringing in Louisville\, KY grounded his culinary s
 tyle in the foodways and traditions of the South.  He pursued a classic c
 ulinary arts education at Johnson & Wales\, graduating to work as a Sous C
 hef at restaurants in Virginia Beach. He truly fell in love with Southern 
 cuisine while Chef de Cuisine at Coastal Grill. Following his passion\, he
  moved South to join the kitchens of James Beard Award winning Chefs Tom C
 olicchio at Craft as Sous Chef and later Linton Hopkins as Executive Sous 
 Chef at Restaurant Eugene. Chef Woody joined Table & Main as Executive Sou
 s Chef in 2015\, taking the Executive Chef role in 2015. Woody uses his fr
 iendships with farmers and keen interest in responsible sourcing to suppor
 t our “simple\, seasonal\, Southern” menu. He is deeply involved in le
 adership of the Roswell Farmers and Artisans Market. He’s also passionat
 e about the mission behind Atlanta’s Giving Kitchen\, which provides eme
 rgency assistance to foodservice workers in need. Woody lives in Sandy Spr
 ings with his wife\, Amanda\, and two cats Gemini and Galazie. When not in
  the kitchen\, you can probably find Woody outside running crazy long dist
