  Neal Cleaver is the first public photography exhibit to explore the excep
 tional life of Kathleen Neal Cleaver. It draws heavily from the personal c
 ollection that Ms. Cleaver curated for decades and includes a few images f
 rom other collections such as that of Dr. Doris Derby. This photography sh
 ow chronicles Cleaver’s personal journey from the child of a U.S. Foreig
 n Service officer living across the U.S. South\, Asia\, and West Africa to
  a leader in the Black Panther Party and the international Black Power mov
 ement\; and as she went from living “inside exile” (accompanying her f
 ugitive husband to Algeria and France while she herself still possessed re
 lative freedom of movement) to Yale University as a student\, all while ra
 ising two children\, becoming a law professor at Yale and Emory Universiti
 es\, and building a career in human rights.

 length immersive documentary work in progress that follows individuals wit
 h disabilities as they navigate vast and varied natural landscapes. Throug
 h intimate interviews and vivid on-the ground footage\, the film explores 
 often-overlooked barriers to outdoor accessibility—alongside powerful st
 ories of resilience\, community\, and empowerment that emerge along the wa
 y.\nThe development of the documentary began with a diverse group of parti
 cipantsconnected to Bay Area disability organizations\, including Ala Cost
 a Centers\, BORP Adaptive Sports and Recreation\, The Center for Independe
 nt Living\, The Disability Cultural Center at UC Berkeley\, Friends of L
 ’Arche San Francisco Bay Area\, Creative Growth\, and NIAD Art Center. T
 hese partnerships have provided invaluable insight\, ensuring the film aut
 hentically reflects the lived experiences of people across a range of disa
 bilities. By featuring participants who are Deaf\, hard of hearing\, blind
 \, or who have mobility or cognitive disabilities\, Access Point highlight
 s the many ways disability intersects with the natural world. It becomes n
 ot just a story of overcoming obstacles\, but also one of the universal hu
 man desire to engage with the outdoors—underscoring the transformative p
 ower of nature for all. Partnerships and participation in Access Point\nar
 e currently expanding\, broadening its reach beyond the Bay Area to commun
 ities across the United States.\nAs participants explore outdoor spaces—
 from hiking trails and national parks to beaches\, forests\, and rivers—
 Access Point reveals the barriers people face\, including limited accessib
 ility\, lack of resources\, and social or cultural exclusion. Each partici
 pant brings a unique relationship to nature: some are seasoned explorers w
 hose access has been constrained\, while others are encountering these lan
 dscapes for the first time.\nThrough their experiences\, the film captures
  the joy\, reflection\, and sense of empowerment that nature can inspire w
 hen inequities in access are addressed. At its core\, Access Point is a st
 ory about inclusion\, equity\, and the right to experience the outdoors. I
 t asserts that access to nature is a fundamental right not a privilege— 
 and examines how inaccessible outdoor spaces intersect with broader societ
 al inequities. By connecting the disability community with the environment
 al movement\,the film emphasizes that inclusive outdoor spaces are essenti
