By his mid-2 0s the self-taught colorblind photographer was making waves in the photogr aphy community\, landing exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Atlanta and the Griffin Museum in Winchester\, MA - all while raising his daughter as a full-time single father. Quintavius spent much of his early career straddling the fence between his documentary-style photography in t he streets of Atlanta and making intimate portraits with friends\, explori ng sexuality\, fear\, joy\, and identity. His work would eventually expand to places like India and Cuba where he would explore life in the homes of individuals and families\, fostering a sense of global community through photography. This course is a deep div e into the biology\, morphology\, physiology\, biogeography\, and evolutio n of amphibians. Topics such as reproduction\, metamorphosis\, functional morphology\, freeze tolerance\, and phenotypic plasticity will be covered in splendid detail\, while also examining basic questions like ‘Is that frog or a toad?’\, ‘a salamander or a newt?’ And ‘What do amphibia ns do in the winter?’\n\nThe course is intended for adults and assumes a basic understanding of biology\, but not a requirement.
