DESCRIPTION:Newport Spirit Run is a 42-year Newport Beach tradition that 
 presents running and walking events for every age from toddlers to seniors
 \, and every fitness level\, from elite runners to walkers.  An event day
  expo includes a food truck\, live music\, youth activities\, fitness info
 rmation\, shopping and more.\n\n\n\nThe 2026 Spirit Run is expanding in 
 a major way:\n\n\n\n·       Relocating from Fashion Island to Newport 
 Dunes Waterfront Resort\;\n\n\n\n·       featuring race courses that 
 traverse Upper Newport Bay (the Bay)\;\n\n\n\n·       introducing the
  first half marathon at the Bay in more than 20 years for adults to its tr
 aditional 5k and mile distances for adults\, kids and families\;\n\n\n\n·
        a Beach Dash on the sand next to the Bay for ages 4 to 6 and a T
 oddler Trot for ages 1 to 3\; and\n\n\n\n·       adding the Newport B
 ay Conservancy as a beneficiary and to bring an environmental focus to the
  event.\n\n\n\nNewport Spirit Run will be an environmentally sustainable
  event featuring measures to reduce waste and promote environmental awaren
